Last night the structural engineer paid us a visit to sign off on the earthworks for the mega-lithic retaining wall. She seemed happy with what was done. What she wasn’t happy about is whether it’s safe for Team Woodhams to be in the house in its current state. Should there be some kind of ‘natural event’ the engineer felt the house would be at risk of falling down. My ‘she’ll be right mate’ attitude was dampened when Cal and Dan (two of our handsome young builders) commented this morning that the house was still standing… So, watch this space. We are due to move out on May 9 (when we take over our little rental for 4 and abit months) – lets see if we can last til then!
